Captain Fresh

We're Captain Fresh, a technology-driven global seafood company that's transforming how seafood reaches markets worldwide. Founded in 2019 by Utham Gowda in Bengaluru, we started with a simple but powerful goal: make seafood supply chains faster and reduce the massive waste that plagues this industry. Unlike many players who focus on just one species or market, we've built a multi-species seafood platform that serves both farmers and customers across the globe.

Our approach centers on leveraging real-time data analytics and digital infrastructure to create a more predictable and flexible supply chain. We operate B2B marketplaces that connect fishermen and fish farms directly with buyers, eliminating middlemen and reducing spoilage. We've developed proprietary technology solutions like Optimus, our ERP platform for seafood distributors, and Fishgram, which helps fishing operations optimize their catch and access better markets. Today, our portfolio spans multiple premium brands including CenSea, Ocean Garden, Koral, and Senecrus, serving customers across India, the USA, and UAE. We're backed by leading investors including Accel, Tiger Global, and Naspers, and we've achieved unicorn status with a valuation exceeding $1 billion.
