Job title:

Senior PMO Analyst

Job Description:

This is a fixed term opportunity, currently running until 31st March 2026 with the potential to extend.

The role is home-based with occasional UK travel including potential visits to Clyde, Scotland.

You will need to be eligible to gain Security Clearance.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own and improve core PMO services across the programme, keeping governance, reporting and controls consistent and “audit ready”.
  • Run RAID management (logs, standards, quality checks, escalation), ensuring risks and issues are visible, current and actioned.
  • Support change control and stage gate activity, coordinating submissions, decisions, actions and evidence.
  • Maintain strong document management practices and repositories, so teams can quickly find the right version of the truth.
  • Work with planning colleagues to align plans, milestones, dependencies and reporting, highlighting impacts early.
  • Support programme resourcing activity (forecasting, onboarding/offboarding, ways of working) to help delivery teams stay effective.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, setting clear cadences and keeping communication flowing.
  • Drive continuous improvement by spotting what’s slowing delivery down and introducing practical, tool‑enabled fixes.

What we’re looking for

Essential

  • Experience working in a PMO / P3O environment supporting large, complex programmes and multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong working knowledge of RAID, dependency management, governance forums, reporting packs and stage gates.
  • Proven experience managing change control processes and working to agreed SLAs and quality standards.
  • Confident producing clear, concise written outputs and communicating effectively with senior audiences.
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Comfortable working with clients/partners/suppliers and building trusted relationships across teams.
  • Security clearance: you’ll need to either already hold, or be able to obtain, Security Clearance (SC) (including having lived in the UK for at least 5 years).

Desirable

  • PMO / project qualifications (e.g., P3O, MoP, MoR, PRINCE2, MSP, APMP)
  • Experience in a Defence/MoD environment.
