About Cambi
We build thermal hydrolysis systems that help cities turn sewage sludge and other organic waste into useful resources. Our technology uses heat and high pressure to break down complex organic materials, preparing them for more efficient anaerobic digestion. This gives wastewater utilities a practical way to increase digester throughput, produce more biogas, reduce the volume of final biosolids, lower operating costs, and improve environmental compliance. Cambi has been developing this technology since the early 1990s and now supports wastewater utilities and cities across more than 25 countries.
Our modular plants are designed for reliability, straightforward operation, and low maintenance, with different reactor configurations available for utilities of different sizes. We also support customers throughout the project lifecycle, from business-case analysis and engineering to installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and spare parts. Alongside our thermal hydrolysis equipment, we help utilities improve odour control, recover renewable energy, produce pathogen-free biosolids, and develop circular resource systems that reduce waste and transport emissions.
