Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the company’s risk management framework, policies, and procedures in accordance with VARA guidelines and international best practices.
- Identify, evaluate, and monitor enterprise-wide risks, including operational, technology, cyber, and outsourcing risks.
- Maintain the risk register, perform regular control testing, and ensure effective follow-up on remediation plans.
- Coordinate risk control self-assessments (RCSAs) and ensure timely mitigation of key findings.
- Support development of internal controls and provide assurance over the effectiveness of existing processes.
- Monitor and analyze market, trading, and liquidity exposures, with a focus on risks inherent to virtual asset operations.
- Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate resilience under adverse conditions.
- Define and maintain risk appetite statements, limit structures, and key risk indicators (KRIs) in coordination with leadership.
- Contribute to capital and liquidity risk assessments and ensure controls align with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and deliver periodic risk reports and dashboards for management and board committees.
- Advise on risk implications of new products, partnerships, and technology initiatives.
- Support the incident management, business continuity, and crisis response frameworks.
- Collaborate with compliance, audit, and internal control teams to ensure end-to-end risk oversight.
- Deliver training and promote awareness of risk management practices across the organization.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in risk management, internal control, or financial risk within fintech, virtual assets, or financial services.
- Strong understanding of UAE regulatory frameworks (VARA, DFSA, FSRA, CBUAE) and risk governance principles.
- Proven ability to implement risk frameworks, monitoring tools, and reporting mechanisms.
- Skilled in both quantitative and qualitative risk analysis, including stress testing and scenario evaluation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Native-level Arabic proficiency, with strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- UAE citizenship is required for this role, along with legal authorization to work locally.
- Professional certifications such as FRM, PRM, ICA or equivalent.
