This is a remote position.

Job Highlights:

Contract: Independent Contractor

Schedule: California business hours from 8 AM to 5 PM with 1 hour unpaid lunch break
Client Timezone: Pacific Time (California)


Responsibilities:

  • Manage rent collection processes for 100+ unit apartment buildings
  • Conduct income verification for prospective and current tenants
  • Perform credit verification and tenant screening processes
  • Handle tenant communications via phone calls, emails, and text messages
  • Utilize Appfolio property management software for daily operations
  • Work closely with the property management team to ensure smooth building operations
Scope:
  • Manage one building with 100+ residential units
  • Handle all aspects of tenant relations and property administration
  • Work remotely with California-based property management company
  • Collaborate with existing team of virtual assistants and property managers
  • Report to property management team leadership
  • Full-time position with comprehensive responsibilities for assigned building

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing 100+ units in apartment buildings (not Airbnb or single-family homes)
  • Strong English communication skills with clear accent for phone interactions
  • Experience with Appfolio property management software preferred
  • Ability to work California business hours
  • Experience in rent collection and tenant verification processes
  • Professional phone manner for tenant communications
