We're a team of engineers and researchers who've spent decades building robots that can handle the messy, unpredictable nature of the real world. Starting from our roots at MIT's Leg Lab back in 1992, we've developed robots like Spot, Atlas, and Stretch that don't just look impressive in videos - they actually work in power plants, construction sites, warehouses, and hazardous environments where we'd rather send a machine than put people at risk.

What drives us is the belief that robots should amplify human capabilities, not replace them. We've seen Spot inspect tall structures so workers don't have to climb ladders, and we're developing Stretch to take on physically demanding warehouse jobs. Our engineering approach combines deep expertise in dynamic simulation, perception systems, and practical industrial design. We're constantly learning from our customers and iterating based on real-world feedback because we know that's the only way to build robots that truly make a difference.
