We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to support Australian-based engineering projects, with a strong focus on structural design, analysis, and aluminium structures. This role requires solid knowledge of Australian Standards, the ability to prepare accurate calculations and technical documentation, and close collaboration with both local and Australia-based engineering teams.
The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, and confident working on compliance-driven structural projects.
Key Responsibilities
Structural Design & Engineering Support
• Perform structural design and analysis for Australian residential and commercial projects.
• Design, assess, and review aluminium structures in line with relevant Australian Standards.
• Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings to ensure accuracy and constructability.
• Prepare design calculations, reports, and technical documentation to support engineering deliverables.
Collaboration & Coordination
• Work closely with local engineers and Australian-based engineering teams to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Support design revisions, clarifications, and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
Quality & Compliance
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable Australian Standards and engineering best practices.
• Maintain accuracy, documentation integrity, and version control across all engineering outputs.
Required Qualifications
• At least 5 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Experience working on Australian projects or strong working knowledge of Australian Standards.
• Proficiency in SAP2000, Inducta, and AutoCAD.
• Strong experience in aluminium structure design and assessment.
• Working knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, including: AS 1170.0, AS 1170.1, AS 1170.2, AS 1664.1 (Aluminum Structures)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
