Role Summary

This role provides professional support to BMO Partners by assisting with inquiries, account openings, transfers, and ongoing account maintenance. It focuses on delivering exceptional service and investment-related guidance to customers and prospects, while ensuring compliance and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner Support & Relationship Management
    Acts as the primary point of contact for Financial Planners, Private Bankers, Regional Sales Managers, and Branch Partners, providing timely and accurate support across a range of investment-related services.

  • Ownership & Follow-Through
    Owns and follows up on complex files, making it easy for Partners to do business and inspiring confidence in our processes, service standards, and overall brand.

  • Customer Needs & Service Excellence
    Understands customer needs and delivers tailored wealth and investment-related solutions. Probes effectively to uncover unique requirements and ensures a seamless experience.

  • Issue Resolution & Escalation
    Manages transactional outcomes and escalates unresolved or complex situations to senior team members or managers as needed.

  • Documentation & Accuracy
    Reviews and processes documentation during Partner and customer interactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Market Knowledge & Integration
    Maintains current knowledge of investment markets, trends, and practices, integrating insights into customer conversations professionally.

  • Marketing & Promotion Integration
    Incorporates relevant marketing programs and promotions into customer interactions where appropriate.

  • Compliance & Risk Management
    Adheres to all regulatory and compliance requirements, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Terrorist Financing, FCAC consumer provisions, and the Privacy Act.

  • Suspicious Activity Reporting
    Identifies and reports suspicious patterns of activity that may be related to money laundering or other financial crimes.

  • Outbound Engagement
    May initiate outbound calls to resolve complex situations and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Additional Duties
    Completes diverse tasks within established guidelines and may handle escalations from other employees. Broader accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of relevant experience, ideally in financial services or investment operations.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of BMO Investment / BMO InvestorLine products and services.
  • Understanding of competitive market trends and product offerings.
  • Familiarity with risk management and compliance practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) preferred.
  • Strong collaboration and team skills.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

You’re fluent in French and English as this role provides support to clients and team members inside and/or outside the province of Quebec.

Salary:

$38,500.00 - $71,000.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
