This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.

As part of a hardworking team of engineers, you will help to coordinate the schedule and priorities of design work for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of the avionics overall strategy. As an Avionics Technical Project Manager you will manage the project schedule, work breakdown, and cost; coordinate schedules to integrate avionics development with the overall program. Collaborate with stakeholders across the program to define avionics requirements and their dependencies on other spacecraft systems for reusable, reliable, and safe human space flight. Create project management plans, and support the avionics harnessing team with other guiding artifacts, including architecture design descriptions and verification plans. Present status, risks, variances, and recovery plans to program management. Track technical performance measures to support the development team in meeting defined performance goals

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

· Passion for Blue Origin’s mission: Millions of people living and working in space!

· B.S. in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.

· 10+ years of Project Management experience.

· Experience with Primavera (P6), or other Project Management tools

· Strong technical background in a relevant area of hardware design (e.g. board-level design/packaging, RF communication, motion or navigation controls).

· Experience managing development projects, including requirements, priorities, scope, schedule, and cost.

· Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

· Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion.

· Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired

· Post-graduate degree in electrical/computer/aerospace engineering or management

· PMP Certification

Compensation Range for:

CO applicants is $116,323.00-$162,851.85; WA applicants is $126,898.00-$177,656.85; CA applicants is $126,898.00-$177,656.85

  • Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.

  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
