Egypt onlyBlackStone eIT is seeking a talented Server Administrator to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and management of our server environments to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of server architecture and virtualization technologies, as well as experience in troubleshooting and resolving server-related issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and manage servers and related systems in a virtualized environment.
- Monitor server performance and availability, implementing necessary optimizations.
- Perform routine system updates, patches, and backups to ensure data integrity and security.
- Troubleshoot server issues and provide timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to server configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Collaborate with network engineers and IT support personnel to troubleshoot and resolve cross-functional issues.
- Implement and enforce security policies to protect server environments.
- Stay informed on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and security threats.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in server administration or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments.
- Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, RHCE) are a plus.
