Blackbird Interactive is seeking a technically minded UI Artist to join our team and continue developing a AAA Sci-fi action title.
In this position, you’ll be working under the supervision of an Art Director and alongside UI engineers and system designers to create and implement new UI features.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with system designer and UI engineer to plan and execute on UI features
- Create high quality vector art under the direction of an Art Director
- Maintain a UI style consistent with the game’s established look and feel
- Create and implement UI deliverables such as mock ups, icons and flash animations using a proprietary engine
- Advocate, document and improve on existing UI pipelines and processes
- Work independently and self-manage in an agile production environment
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years experience in game development as a UI artist
- Expert level experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Proficiency with Adobe Animate
- Detail oriented and comfortable with technically demanding pipeline
- Experience working closely with UI engineers to drive creation process
- Excellent communication skills
