Controller - EMEA

billups is seeking an enthusiastic, proactive and analytical Controller to join our EMEA finance team, based in our Amsterdam office. The role balances full ownership of the UK entity with strategic support for the broader EMEA region, ensuring seamless collaboration between the UK business and our Shared Service Center (SSC).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• Minimum 3+ yrs of experience in a Controller or Analyst role and ready for entity ownership
• Proven experience in UK Entity Management and UK GAAP/compliance
• Strong foundation in accounting, financial analytics, budgeting and financial reporting
• Analytical mindset and strong technical GL oversight paired with 'big-picture' of financial reporting
• Systems Proficiency: Experience with ERP implementations and advanced financial modeling
• SSC Savvy: Background in Shared Service Center with expertise in remote team alignment
• High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems and BI applications
• Experience working in fast-paced, multinational, multicurrency environments
• Proactive attitude and hands-on team player with a high level of personal accountability and flexible, international mindset
• Ability to collaborate, communicate and engage effectively with various (global) stakeholders at different levels
• Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Fluent in written and spoken English; Dutch is a plus
• Strong ability to prioritize workloads and consistently meet tight deadlines
• Effective communicator with a proactive, team-oriented mindset
• Ability to travel abroad on occasion if required
