About Berachain
Berachain is a high-performance EVM-identical Layer 1 blockchain built on the novel Beaconkit framework, leveraging its unique Proof-of-Liquidity (PoL) consensus to accelerate applications and reward users. PoL routes Berachain’s block rewards to the users of applications building in the ecosystem; investing the chain’s native incentives into liquidity, activity, and other unique growth drivers on the network.
Berachain has raised over $100M from leading digital asset investors including Brevan Howard, Framework Ventures, Polychain Capital, Hack VC, Tribe Capital, Samsung Next, Laser Digital by Nomura, and many others.
Berachain’s mainnet was launched in Feb 2025. It’s one of the only L1 ecosystems with a means of returning value to its tokenholders through Proof of Liquidity. The native ecosystem consists of dozens of teams across DeFi, DePIN, RWAFi, consumer crypto, gaming, AI and more, with corporate partners including some of the world’s largest brands in sports, entertainment, and payments.
Berachain has built up a strong Chinese community through our partnerships with local partners and investors including SNZ, Hashkey, EVG and many others, supplemented by listings on leading exchanges like Binance and OKX. We’re looking to onboard someone to lead growth on the ground across community members, builders, institutions and more.
We’re a fast-moving team of builders with deep conviction in crypto’s potential to create open, permissionless financial systems. As we expand globally, we’re looking to expand our APAC business development team, with a focus on China, to help us build a vibrant community of users, developers, and builders across the region.
Role Overview
As a member of the APAC business development team you’ll be responsible for growing Berachain’s presence in the Chinese crypto market. You’ll focus on cultivating and activating Chinese retail users, trading communities, and developer ecosystems. This is a highly cross-functional role that involves ecosystem partnerships, community growth, developer relations, and cultural localization.
Key Responsibilities
Ecosystem Growth: Build and execute go-to-market strategies to drive adoption of Berachain among Chinese users and developers.
Community Engagement: Develop relationships with key influencers, trading communities, and local media to raise awareness and drive organic interest in Berachain.
Developer Relations: Work closely with Chinese developer communities to onboard new builders, support dApp development, and organize hackathons, meetups, and educational initiatives.
Localization: Tailor Berachain’s messaging, documentation, and content to fit the Chinese market with cultural and linguistic nuance.
Partnerships: Identify and manage strategic partnerships with exchanges, wallets, media outlets, dApps and enterprises to grow Berachain’s reach in China.
Advocacy: Serve as Berachain’s voice and representative in the Chinese ecosystem, including at conferences, community events, and in public forums.
Qualifications
3–7 years of experience in crypto, preferably in a Layer 1/2, exchange and top tier dapp protocols.
Deep familiarity with the Chinese crypto landscape, including trading communities, key influencers, and developer networks.
Proven ability to grow and manage communities, preferably with direct experience in China.
Strong communication skills in both Mandarin and English.
A self-starter mindset and ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Nice to Have
Experience launching a token or supporting ecosystem incentives in Chinese.
Experience managing growth campaigns, token launches, and trading activities in partnership with key influencers.
Track record of organizing successful events, hackathons, or campaigns in China.
Familiarity with Berachain’s architecture and the Proof of Liquidity mechanism.
Fluency in Cantonese.
