JOB PURPOSE 

The Manager, Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the S&OP process within the organization. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, finance, and supply chain, to align sales and operations plans with business goals and objectives. The Manager, S&OP plays a key role in demand planning, supply planning, cycle control and optimizing inventory to ensure we meet customer needs, maximize profitability, and improve operational efficiency.

In addition to the above primary duty, the role will oversee SPA management, Pricing Control and Inventory Obsolescence management. The position reports into the VP, Operations.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the S&OP process within the organization by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, finance, and supply chain, to align sales and operations plans with business goals and objectives.
  • Perform demand planning, supply planning, cycle control and optimizing inventory to ensure company meets customer needs, maximizes profitability, and improves operational efficiency.
  • Oversee SPA management, Pricing Control and Inventory Obsolescence management.
  • S&OP Process Owner from beginning to end.
  • Develop and direct the S&OP strategy to ensure alignment between Operations, Sales, and Finance on a unified business plan.
  • Use insights to inform decisionmaking, optimize inventory levels, and enhance sales planning to bridge gaps through coordinated action.
  • Maintain the cadence for the S&OP process.
  • Communicate and cascade the aligned plan to key stakeholders to ensure alignment against demand/supply plans across functional teams.
  • Oversee the build out of organizational infrastructure and system implementations for Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Planning and Business alignment.
  • Support Sales Operations and Enablement function with strategic plans, in-depth analysis and key insights for successful execution of KPIs and sales campaigns.
  • Own the S&OP reporting for relevant KPIs and build out scorecard and deck reporting to executive leadership and cross functional teams.
  • Provide highly valued strategic consulting support and guidance through key initiatives.
  • Collaborate with global counterparts to provide functional input into global S&OP process design, standard metric definition, and enabling toolset design.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement in the S&OP process through data analysis, process optimization, and technology enhancements.
  • Identify S&OP Champions to train, coach, partner up with and develop others to be S&OP Governance Managers.
  • Oversee optimal execution of the SPA program. Ensure 100% of SPA rebates are captured. Facilitate cross-functional execution with Sales Operations function to maintain accurate customer contracts and pricing.
  • Report out to leadership and relevant stakeholders on related KPIs.
  • Oversee accurate, complete, and well-organized SPA documentation and file management.
  • Up to 10% domestic and international travel to client sites required.
  • Fully remote.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILIITES:

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Project Management, or a closely related field of study.
  • Must have six (6) years of experience as an S&OP Manager, Sales Operations Manager, or Demand Planning Manager.
  • The six (6) years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree must have included experience with Project Management, Demand/Supply planning, and S&OP process including managerial and leadership responsibilities; project management experience managing a cross-functional team; Tableau, Power BI; using Excel to create reports and conduct scenario planning; CRMs (NetSuite); and Rapid Response. Experience with training team members in PowerBI and Tableau, NetSuite, Rapid Response, internal people management training. Fully Remote.
  • Alternative Requirements: Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and three (3) years of experience The three (3) years of experience with a Master’s degree must have included experience with Project Management, Demand/Supply planning, and S&OP process including managerial and leadership responsibilities; project management experience managing a cross-functional team; Tableau, Power BI; using Excel to create reports and conduct scenario planning; CRMs (NetSuite); and Rapid Response. Experience with training team members in PowerBI and Tableau, NetSuite, Rapid Response, internal people management training. Fully remote.
