More than 135 years ago, we started with core values that never go out of style: listen, learn and help businesses and individuals reach their goals. These core values shape our culture, and we were recently Great Place to Work Certified because of our outstanding workplace culture and employee experience. As well, our financial strength and stability are key reasons Forbes named us one of the Best 100 Banks in America for the ninth consecutive year.
With more than $16 billion in assets and 135 branch locations throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and California, we understand our role in the economy and take that responsibility seriously. In addition to offering a source of capital to personal banking clients and businesses of all sizes, we place a high importance on employee volunteerism and donate millions of dollars each year to community organizations.
Join our team as a Credit Review Officer and play a key role in safeguarding the quality and accuracy of our loan portfolio. In this role, you’ll help ensure sound credit practices, strengthen risk management, and support our commitment to doing the right thing for our clients and our communities. • Prepare clear, well written findings and contribute to final examination reports.
  • Participate in problem loan calls as needed to stay informed of workout activity.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of newly originated loans on a monthly basis.
  • Assist with sample selection for examinations, using insights gained from desk reviews and monthly reporting.
  • Lead unit credit examinations and guide the review process from start to finish.
  • Support ongoing training and any new improvement initiatives for the Credit Review team.
  • Ensure adherence to bank policies, procedures, security requirements, and regulatory standards.

What we're looking for

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Law, Computer Science, or a related field (Required).

What started in 1890 as a small thrift in Walla Walla has grown into a full-service financial institution that proudly serves communities across Washington, Oregon, California, and Idaho. Over the last 130 years, Banner Bank has remained committed to its core values of listening, learning, and helping individuals and businesses reach their financial goals. With more than $15 billion in assets, we take pride in offering competitive banking products, which one might typically expect from larger banks, but with a level of personalized service that can only be provided by a community bank.

In addition to providing financial services like personal banking, home loans, and commercial banking, Banner Bank plays an active role in its communities. With a focus on community spirit, we supported over a thousand charitable causes last year alone, providing nearly $2 million in contributions and countless volunteer hours. We believe that our responsibilities extend beyond banking—we strive to nurture relationships and give back to the communities we serve, making them stronger and more vibrant.
