What You Will Contribute:
The Field Integration Specialist will support both customers and internal stakeholders by developing application-specific proposals and quotations, providing technical expertise to Regional Sales Managers, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the company’s knowledge base related to SmartCover monitoring and control products. Like all members of the Sales department, the Field Integration Specialist is team-oriented, self-directed, and highly responsive to customer needs. The position’s goal is to facilitate the process, making it easy for existing and prospective customers to choose, purchase, and utilize our products.
This position requires up to 50% travel to support the needs of our customers and the business. While this position is listed as remote in Texas, the successful candidate must be in a major metropolitan area with a major airport.
In addition to these tasks, they will also be responsible for the following primary accountabilities:
- The assignments will be to perform site surveys at customer locations to assess customers’ needs and requirements for planning, integrating, and implementing an updated SCADA automation/control system into the existing control equipment.
- Estimate all requirements of a proposed customer control system. Provide any additional documentation required to ensure a complete and successful control system implementation, following company documentation, procedures, and quotation templates.
- Provide customers’ process details to the level of algorithm creation. Maintain all survey records to ensure consistency and follow-up ability in the quotation process.
- Understand and provide detailed integration requirements to support the creation of electrical automation control panels and drawings. Support the selection of appropriate automation Input/Output devices based on the electrical signal integration requirements of the system(s) to be monitored and controlled.
- Provide detailed support to the company's installation department, contractors, and electrical contractors regarding the detailed integration requirements during project implementation.
- The position requires a background in I&C (Instrumentation & Controls), including hands-on experience in machine electrical control, PLCs, HMI, SCADA, and general electrical construction requirements.
The successful candidate will have in-depth experience with:
- PLC control systems and ladder logic programming (generic)
- Electrical control panel drawings, including MCC, across-the-line, VFD, etc.
- Water and Wastewater industry instrumentation understanding
- Understanding of electrical integration practices and techniques
- Troubleshooting electrical controls
Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in a Technical Field, or equivalent experience
- The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience/education in I&C, electrical controls, electrical theory, machine electrical controls, electrical safety practices, NEC, and project implementation.
- 5+ years of technical and/or sales experience
- Intermediate Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Project management experience is a plus
- A solid ability to communicate in written and verbal forms regarding scope and specifications to multiple audiences, including contractors, engineers, programmers, system operators, customer management staff.
