Initially, it began its operations with just seven charter members equipped with a mere capital base of $70. Over the decades, Avadian has evolved significantly, transforming from a credit union exclusively for telephone company employees and their families to one that serves a broader community in Alabama, making it one of the oldest credit unions in the state. In 2015, the organization rebranded itself from Alabama Telco to Avadian Credit Union, reflecting its commitment to providing excellent financial services to a diverse member base.
