About the role:

250 million people worldwide live with hearing loss — and most don’t get the care they need. Auditdata builds the cloud platform hearing care professionals use every day to fit devices, manage patients, and run their clinics.

We’re starting a new AI Platform team to bring intelligence into that workflow: real-time transcription of clinical sessions, automated clinical documentation, and AI-assisted workflows that reduce admin so clinicians can focus on patients. This is greenfield work with direct patient impact.

We’re looking for a hands-on technical lead to build the foundation: ship production AI services, shape the architecture, and grow a small team.

What you will do:

  • Build and run AI services in production on Azure: dependable, observable, and cost-aware.

  • Own the transcription pipeline that turns clinical conversations into usable structured data.

  • Deliver LLM-powered capabilities for documentation and data transformation, with safety controls appropriate for a clinical context.

  • Create a reusable “AI workflow layer” so product teams can plug in AI features without reinventing orchestration, permissions, and traceability.

  • Define platform interfaces (APIs/SDKs) that make adoption easy across the engineering org.

  • Lead while building: mentor engineers, review designs, and raise the quality bar (~30% leadership; ~70% hands-on).

What success looks like:

  • The AI Platform is established as a trusted internal platform used by multiple product teams for AI features

  • Transcription, LLM document generation, and the agent framework are reliable, observable, and cost-efficient in production

  • The AI platform has a clear roadmap, aligned with product and architecture, with transparent tradeoffs and priorities

  • You are recognized as the go-to technical leader for AI services, working peer-to-peer with architects, product, and other engineering leads.

Key competences and expertise:

  • 5+ years building and operating backend/platform services in production

  • Strong engineering fundamentals (testing, CI/CD, observability, reliability)

  • Experience with cloud-native systems (APIs, microservices, event-driven; Kubernetes a plus)

  • Hands-on experience shipping AI-powered features (LLMs, retrieval/knowledge grounding, prompt/tool workflows, or similar)

  • Python preferred, or a similar backend language

  • You’ve owned systems end-to-end and can guide others through ambiguity.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Speech-to-text experience (Azure, Whisper, or similar)

  • Azure platform services (AKS, API Management, Key Vault, etc.)

  • .NET ecosystem familiarity

  • Regulated / healthcare domain experience

  • Multi-tenant SaaS and global deployment experience

  • Experience building internal platforms used by multiple teams.

What’s in it for you:

  • Greenfield AI work with real patient impact

  • Remote-first, async-friendly culture

  • High engineering and product standards

  • A team that values depth over hype: production quality over flashy prototypes

  • A culture that values personal growth as much as business outcomes

  • Long-term engagement in a stable, growing SaaS company

  • Flexible environment with a flat organizational structure

  • A global, diverse, and highly skilled team across Denmark, Ukraine, UK, Poland, Canada, Australia, USA, and more.

Feels like it’s a perfect match to you?

We look forward to your application! (please submit your English CV)
