About the Product:

Auditbase is Auditdata's flagship clinical software, purpose-built for audiology departments in NHS and Scandinavian hospital trusts. It manages patient records, audiometric data, reporting, and hospital system integrations. The product has been in continuous development for over two decades and has a deeply loyal clinical user base.

Auditbase runs in 90% of Scandinavian and UK hospital audiology departments. You won't be maintaining a side project — you'll be sustaining critical patient care infrastructure used daily by clinicians across two countries.

About the role:

The engineering team is small, close-knit, and highly trusted. You'll have genuine ownership over meaningful parts of the codebase from day one.

Honest heads-up: This role involves Gupta SQLWindows / SQLBase — a mature, specialist 4GL stack. We know this is rare. If you have Windows desktop development experience (VB, C++, C#, PowerBuilder or similar) and strong SQL skills, we encourage you to apply even without prior Gupta experience. We will train the right person.

What you will do:

  • Develop and maintain GUI components and business logic in the Gupta SQLWindows / SQLBase environment

  • Maintain and optimise MS SQL and SQLBase databases; write and tune complex queries

  • Build and maintain reports in Crystal Reports and Gupta Report Builder

  • Support and maintain HL7 integrations with hospital information systems

  • Perform developer testing and participate in structured QA cycles

Technical skills and expertise:

  • 2–3 years of Windows desktop apps development experience (Visual Basic, Visual C++, C#, Delphi, or similar)

  • Strong SQL skills — you can write and optimise complex queries and think about database performance

  • Experience creating reports and data visualisations, ideally with Crystal Reports

  • Resourceful and self-directed — you find solutions independently

  • Good spoken and written English

  • Background in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience with SQLWindows, PowerBuilder, or another 4GL environment

  • Familiarity with healthcare IT standards (HL7)

  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams

What’s in it for you:

  • Long-term, secure engagement in the stable product development company

  • High business standards environment

  • Great company values and ethics

  • Flexibility and flat management structure

  • Learning opportunities and professional development (incl. related certifications, paid trainings & courses)

  • Remote work model

You don’t match the description 100%? Please don’t hold back! We would love to hear from you.

We look forward to your application! (please submit your CV in English)
