What this Job Entails:

The Project & Program Management III role is responsible for planning and coordinating all aspects of internal information, system-specific projects from initiation to delivery. Projects often involve Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, particularly Google Compute Engine (GCE), resource allocation, automation initiatives. The role coordinates work performed by IT staff and internal customers/partners by defining project requirements, performing feasibility and needs/impact assessments. The role develops detailed project plans and manages all implementation processes including resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing, documentation, training, and on-time delivery within budget constraints. Projects may vary in number, size, and complexity. The role will also be responsible for managing projects focused on automating manual processes, improving efficiency, and scaling the Loko Pool to meet increasing demands.

Your Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manages multiple, complex, cross-functional, and technical projects related to the Loko Pool, including automation efforts, infrastructure changes, and process improvements.

  • Partners with engineering teams, Cloud Capacity, and other stakeholders during initiation, plan, design, procurement, deployment, and post-deployment phases of technical projects and process changes.

  • Responsible for managing/tracking program milestones, timelines, and overall deliverables, including technical documentation, automation scripts, and API specifications.

  • Engage in creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation including schedules, reviews, process documents, risk analysis, and documentation for technical tools and systems

  • Define project scope and objectives for Loko Pool initiatives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with capacity management goals.

  • Drive the project lifecycle milestones from concept commit through project closure and advocate change management.

  • Use metrics and KPIs to measure project performance, resource utilization, and automation effectiveness using appropriate tools and techniques, and provide regular status updates to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Responsible for internal process improvements related to Loko Pool operations, automation, and efficiency, removing gaps across multiple teams and functions.

  • Ensure risks are accounted for and provide risk mitigation strategies, particularly for technical risks related to system changes, automation deployments, and resource allocation.

  • Primary project point of contact for vendor partners and internal stakeholders.

  • Coordinate and assist with regularly scheduled meetings with core teams.

  • Evaluate post-project results against metrics; recommend or implement changes to improve delivery practices/processes.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 5 to 8 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise

  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions

  • Experience working with project management teams, resolving conflict, and meeting schedule timelines

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, documentation)

  • Ability to work on multiple projects and assignments concurrently

  • Self-starter who is able to quickly learn new tools and gain familiarity with new processes and technologies with minimal assistance

  • In-depth experience creating spreadsheets, presentation material, and project/process documentation

  • Strong observational and analytical skills, including the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of technical information, strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to track and report on technical metrics (e.g., automation efficiency, resource utilization), and manage technical risks.

  • Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders and communicate project updates to client executives.

  • Familiarity with various project management methodologies

  • Familiarity with cloud computing concepts, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Compute Engine (GCE).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Various certifications

  • Change management knowledge

  • GCP certifications are a plus.

  • Understanding of automation principles and experience with scripting or programming languages is a plus.

  • Experience with automation tools and technologies relevant to cloud infrastructure management is highly desirable.
