What You'll Do
- Contribute to the design and execution of Astrana Health’s enterprise analytics roadmap aligned with growth and value-based care objectives.
- Lead the development of scalable analytics solutions and BI dashboards using tools such as Databricks and Power BI.
- Implement and maintain strong data governance and development practices to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and trust.
- Build customized reports and dashboards tailored to functional and executive stakeholders.
- Partner with business units like Risk Adjustment and Quality to identify analytical opportunities, translate business needs into technical solutions, and deliver insights with measurable impact.
- Support standardization and optimization of reporting/analytics capabilities across teams.
- Mentor analysts and engineers, fostering technical excellence and a collaborative team environment.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations while communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Promote best practices in analytics, data engineering, and BI development.
- Lead and mentor a team of analytics professionals supporting HEDIS quality measurement and Risk Adjustment Factor (RAF) analytics.
- Own end-to-end execution of key deliverables: HEDIS measure calculation, gap-to-goal reporting, compliance rate optimization, and RAF accuracy analytics across multiple lines of business
- Partner with business stakeholders (Clinical Operations, Quality Improvement, Finance) to translate requirements into scalable analytic solutions and drive actionable insights.
- Establish QA protocols and ensure data integrity for all reporting deliverables.
- Drive improvements to Star Ratings performance and risk score accuracy through advanced analytics and process optimization.
- Partner with Data Engineering and IT to enhance data infrastructure, implement new measures, and resolve source data quality issues.
- Conduct performance reviews and set development goals, to build team strength.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, data science, analytics, statistics, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in data analytics and engineering, with at least 2+ years in a technical lead or mentorship role.
- Expertise with modern data stacks including Databricks, SQL, Azure, Power BI, and Python.
- Strong understanding of value-based care analytics, risk adjustment, quality analytics (HEDIS) utilization management, finance, and claims.
- Experience working with healthcare datasets and measures such as HCC, HEDIS, and clinical analytics.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for clinical and operational teams.
- Experience in managing quality improvement initiatives and member outreach programs to close care gaps.
- Strong understanding of EHR, claims, and supplemental data integration for quality reporting.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, working across providers, payers, and internal teams.
- Knowledge of SDLC best practices, including version control, testing, and CI/CD.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to bridge technical and business perspectives.

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions
- This position is remotely based in the U.S.
- The total compensation target pay range for this role is: $160,000 - $170,000. The salary range represents our national target range for this role.
