We are looking for a Specifications Engineer to strengthen the Armacell commercial team in Iberia. This is a home-based commercial role that involves regular travel to customers, preferably located in Catalonia.
The main purpose of this position is to work closely with clients, as well as local and international architects and consultants, to qualify and specify Armacell products. Responsibilities include delivering product presentations and seminars to clients, preparing technical white papers, and ensuring Armacell products are registered on vendor lists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Specifications: Provide technical support to clients and specifiers during the design stage to ensure Armacell solutions are included from the start. Build strong relationships to understand project needs and position our products effectively.
- Technical Solutions: Advise on product performance and selection for outcomes such as condensation control, energy efficiency, and heat flow. Prepare technical calculations and detailed proposals for bids.
- Demand Generation: Highlight the advantages of Armacell solutions over traditional materials and influence customer specifications.
- Specification Management: Write, review, and manage engineering specifications for products and systems to meet project requirements.
- Technical Leadership: Coordinate technical activities in the region, ensuring consistency in advice and procedures.
- Presentations: Deliver impactful presentations to customers and at industry events on product performance, applications, and regulations.
- Product Development: Collaborate with Marketing and R&D on new product development and trials.
- Regulatory Compliance: Advise on local laws and standards, monitor regulatory changes, and maintain relationships with technical bodies to keep Armacell at the forefront of industry developments.
- Market Monitoring: Track competitor offerings and market trends to drive innovation and deliver high-quality technical proposals and specification support.
Professional Education
- Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or similar).
- Fluent in English
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience.
Relevant Areas
- Extensive experience in industry, ideally in environments where product sales depend on successful specification of materials by engineers for major construction, industrial, energy, HVAC or maintenance projects.
