Senior Azure Cloud Architect

About You

You are a senior-level Azure Cloud Architect who enjoys building secure, scalable, and automated cloud platforms. You take ownership of architectural decisions and are comfortable translating business and platform requirements into repeatable Azure foundations. You value clean design, governance, and automation, and you collaborate closely with application, DevOps, security, and infrastructure teams.

You thrive in complex enterprise environments, communicate technical concepts clearly, and act as a technical reference for Azure architecture, networking, security, and platform automation.

You Bring to Applaudo the Following Competencies:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience architecting and operating solutions in Microsoft Azure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience implementing Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Azure Landing Zones.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Terraform, including modular design and remote state management.
• Experience designing enterprise Azure architectures, including multi-subscription environments.
• Strong experience with Azure DevOps, including YAML pipelines and CI/CD governance.
• Solid experience designing hub-and-spoke network architectures and hybrid connectivity.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, and enterprise-scale architecture.
• Experience implementing Azure security controls, RBAC, policies, and compliance standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills and clear technical communication.
• Azure certifications (AZ-305, AZ-400, AZ-104, AZ-204) and/or Terraform certification (nice to have).
• Advanced English proficiency is required, as you will work directly with US-based clients.

You Will Be Accountable for the Following Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Azure tenant architectures aligned with Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework and Azure Landing Zone best practices.
• Define and manage management group hierarchies, subscription strategies, and environment separation.
• Establish standardized patterns for identity, networking, security, governance, and logging.
• Build and maintain Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code and integrate it into CI/CD pipelines.
• Design and maintain multi-stage Azure DevOps pipelines for infrastructure and platform automation.
• Architect and support enterprise networking, including hub-and-spoke topologies and hybrid connectivity.
• Support containerized platforms using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Implement and enforce Azure security, governance, and compliance controls.
• Collaborate with application, DevOps, security, and infrastructure teams on platform adoption.
• Provide technical guidance and architectural direction to engineering teams.
• Continuously improve platform reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and operating Azure cloud architectures
• Proven experience implementing Azure Landing Zones and Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF)
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines (YAML)
