Moca Network, one of Animoca Brands' flagship projects, is building the chain-agnostic digital identity infrastructure for the open internet by providing one universal account for a user's assets, identity, and reputation across multiple ecosystems. The primary product built by Moca Network is AIR Kit, a digital identity infrastructure that enables Web2 and Web3 projects to create a universal embedded account for users to own and use digital assets, identity, and reputation data, while gaining access to a suite of DeFi and consumer services provided by Moca Network's partners. AIR Kit empowers large user base apps to create their own app ecosystem natively with embedded blockchain features, while ensuring these users can use the same account, identity, reputation across all consumer apps on any chains that have adopted AIR Kit.
Position Overview:
Design and oversee the scalable data infrastructure for Moca Network, supporting operational analytics, partner integrations with AIR Kit, and business intelligence while ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance. The role is critical to Moca Network’s mission of becoming the identity data chain.
Responsibilities:
- Data Architecture & Design: Design comprehensive data architectures, models, and schemas that ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Data Pipeline Development: Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for real-time and batch processing across systems.
- Data Warehouse Management: Design and optimize data warehouses and lakes for efficient storage and retrieval.
- Data Governance & Security: Establish governance frameworks, quality standards, access controls, and compliance (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
- Analytics & BI Support: Enable analytics capabilities and data-driven insights for product, operations, and marketing teams, specifically around AIR Kit adoption and the Global Rewards Program. Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and help formulate the right data questions. Build AI-powered data platforms that allow users to query data through natural language prompts.
- On-Chain Data Management: Design systems for indexing, querying, and analyzing blockchain data, specifically for the Moca Chain. Build pipelines that extract on-chain events, AIR Credentials, transactions, and smart contract state into queryable formats.
- Integration & API Design: Design data APIs and integration patterns for seamless data exchange with partners and internal systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
- Strong SQL, database design (PostgreSQL, MySQL), and data warehousing experience (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
- Proficiency in data pipeline tools (Airflow, dbt, Spark), data modeling (dimensional modeling, normalization), and real-time streaming architectures
- Python or similar for data processing and automation; cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance
- Blockchain data indexing and web3 analytics with knowledge of Moca Chain, AIR Kit SDK, and AIR Credentials data structures, events, smart contract interactions, EVM-compatible chains, and node APIs (RPC, WebSocket).
- Experience building AI-powered data platforms or natural language query interfaces leveraging LLMs
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders; ability to translate business needs into data solutions
