Analytica is seeking a data platform Test Engineer to support data platform and products testing strategies within a DevSecOps framework. The ideal candidate will ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of data management and integration solutions by designing and executing testing strategies across configuration, system integration, performance validation, smoke testing, and user acceptance testing. Partner with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to validate that solutions meet client requirements and are production ready.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Regularly interface with clients at numerous levels of an organization—project managers, stakeholders, end-users, data owners, analysts, IT groups, management, and executives—to drive the delivery of data management and governance products
  • Develop and execute test plans covering configuration, integration, regression, performance, smoke, and UAT scenarios.
  • Validate end-to-end workflows across data pipelines, APIs, catalog integrations, and governance tools to ensure seamless functionality.
  • Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and business stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and ensure requirements are testable.
  • Automate repetitive test cases where feasible to accelerate regression and performance testing cycles.
  • Document test results, track defects, and work closely with engineering to drive resolution and retesting.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relative field
  • 4+ years of experience in software/data testing with strong exposure to configuration and system integration testing.
  • Experience with data platforms, pipelines, and catalog/governance solutions (e.g., Alation, Collibra, Snowflake, Databricks).
  • Hands-on experience with functional, performance, smoke, and UAT testing practices; familiarity with automation frameworks is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of data validation, metadata, and end-to-end workflow testing across distributed systems.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to work across technical and business teams to clarify requirements and validate solutions.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
