Senior Specialty Representative – Cardiovascular Primary Care

Territories:

  • North Central (Bayamón, Arecibo, La Montaña)
  • Metro East (San Juan, Humacao, Caguas)

What you will do

In this vital role, you will serve as the primary customer contact for demand creation, driving marketing strategy and promoting Amgen products under the guidance of the District Manager. This strategic position requires delivering current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen’s products while effectively communicating their clinical and economic benefits.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Drive sales growth within your assigned territory by executing strategic Plan of Action (POA) marketing initiatives. This includes delivering compelling brand messaging, implementing targeted sales programs, leading medical educational initiatives, and consistently achieving or exceeding sales goals.
  • Develop and strengthen customer relationships by effectively managing accounts, ensuring seamless product access, proactively addressing reimbursement challenges, and maintaining product contracts to support long-term success.
  • Contribute to business strategy by providing actionable insights on marketing effectiveness, conducting sales performance evaluations, and analyzing territory trends. Partner with the District Manager to develop and refine territory plans for maximum impact.

What we expect of you

We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The Sr. Specialty Representative professional we seek is an individual contributor with these qualifications.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of sales, customer service and/or pharmacy sales experience within life science and/or healthcare industry

OR

Associate degree and 6 years of sales, customer service and/or pharmacy sales experience within life science and/or healthcare industry

OR

High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales, customer service and/or pharmacy sales experience within life science and/or healthcare industry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of pharmaceutical sales or specialty pharmacies experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Science and/or Business Administration Market knowledge in the primary care or specialty field
  • A valid driver's license to operate an automobile
  • Computer proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish
  • Flexibility to work extended hours including weekends
