What is Vet Envoy?

Vet Envoy facilitates paperless insurance claims, microchips and lab reports for veterinary practices.

• Vet Envoy eClaims works by enabling the secure, seamless and direct transfer of data e.g. insurance claims between a Practice Management System (PMS) and the IT systems of another company e.g. insurance companies, on a completely paperless basis

• Vet Envoy has a good position in the UK market but is looking to grow its footprint through onboarding new practices, integrating new insurance companies and developing new functionalities whilst leveraging existing partner relationships

• Although part of the Allianz UK Insurance Group that owns Petplan and LV=, Vet Envoy is treated very much as a ‘cellular start up’ business operating within its own structure and P&L and a ‘start up’ mentality

Who does Vet Envoy work with?

• Vet Envoy has integration with the majority of PMS in the UK, and around 75% of UK veterinary practices, with good relationships with the corporate veterinary groups

• There are 24 insurance brands that are integrated with Vet Envoy across 3 insurers (Agria, Allianz and Markerstudy).

• Vet Envoy works with the main laboratories and microchip databases

Role Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Project Manager to join our family of talented people.

The Technical Project Manager will play a pivotal role in leading cross-functional teams, driving technical excellence, and ensuring the successful delivery of our projects. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project management, including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting. Additionally, you will provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team, ensuring the quality and scalability of our solutions. You will need to be comfortable with customers, supporting the Senior Leadership team at meetings.

Your focus:

Project Management:

• Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders.

• Lead project kickoff meetings, setting clear objectives and expectations.

• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

• Communicate project status, updates, and issues to stakeholders regularly.

• Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.

Technical Leadership:

• Provide technical expertise and guidance to the development team.

• Review code and architecture to ensure quality, maintainability, and scalability.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

• Make informed decisions on technology selection and implementation.

• Be the technical face for VetEnvoy with customers, making the complex easy to understand.

Team Collaboration:

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define project requirements.

• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the project team.

• Resolve conflicts and obstacles to keep the project on track.

Quality Assurance:

• Implement and enforce best practices for software development and project management.

• Conduct regular code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.

• Implement testing strategies to ensure software quality.

About You

To be successful for the role you will have a number of year experience in project management and technical roles.

You will have experience in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban).

You will have a proven track record of successfully delivering complex technical projects with strong experience in software development and architecture.

You will be able manage relationships with stakeholders and external customers driving process improvements.

You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex or technical information in a simple way and when required the ability to Influence and negotiate.

You will have proficiency in programming languages and technologies relevant to the industry with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

You will have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
