Global DBA Manager
The ideal candidate will provide technical and managerial leadership across the global database landscape of Allegion business units and plant locations.
What You Will Do:
- Develop comprehensive cloud migration strategies with respect to database technologies, considering performance, security, and cost optimization.
- Perform thorough assessments of existing on-premises database environments to determine migration suitability and complexity.
- Creating a vision and plan for the DBA team to execute by targeting gaps and identifying innovation opportunities.
- Working closely with customers and internal partners to design and implement resilient and highly secure database solutions.
- Working with project managers to ensure projects are staffed appropriately and the team is executing according to project plans.
- Performing yearly reviews of database systems and planning/budgeting for upgrades/migrations as necessary to meet Allegion’s lifecycle management goals.
- Coaching and leading DBA team members to document and implement yearly objectives that enable business growth and stability.
- Working with DBA team members to develop, document and implement career progression plans.
- Engaging and managing vendors to procure database technologies and resolve incident cases.
- Collaborate and efficiently complete work in a global matrix environment.
- Ensure proper management of all databases within Allegion to achieve resiliency, performance, security and recoverability.
What You Need to Succeed:
- 5 years of experience managing a technical DBA team.
- 10 years of experience performing database administration with Oracle or SQL server.
- Experience managing ITIL ticket, problem and change management.
- Proven project management skills in complex and multi-stakeholder environment.
- Experience managing budgets and review of invoices.
