We are seeking a Senior Control System Architect to design, develop, integrate, and enhance applications and features related to Electric Utility Outage Management Systems (OMS). The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of Oracle DBA expertise, software development experience, and a solid background working with utility systems, especially OMS.
The selected architect will operate remotely but is expected to attend occasional onsite meetings at the client location in Binghamton, NY when required.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design, architecture, and integration of new features and applications for the Electric Utility Outage Management System (OMS).
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements.
Oversee end-to-end system improvements, performance optimization, and stability enhancements.
Develop, document, and maintain system architecture, workflows, technical designs, and integration specifications.
Provide expertise in database design, optimization, backup strategies, performance tuning, and troubleshooting using Oracle DBA skills.
Work closely with development teams using various software frameworks to ensure high-quality design and implementation.
Ensure system compliance with industry standards, cybersecurity guidelines, and best practices.
Participate in critical meetings, reviews, and workshops at client locations as needed.
