System Administrator - Part Time

The Role

We are looking for a highly skilled System Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our IT infrastructure, ensuring system security, and providing technical support. Duties & Responsibilities

• System Maintenance: Monitor and ensure all hardware, server resources, and key processes are functioning properly. Review system/application logs and verify scheduled job completion.
• Server Configuration & Management: Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade physical and virtual server operating systems and applications.
• Network Management: Manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, and VPNs, ensuring optimal LAN/WAN connectivity.
• Security Maintenance: Implement and maintain security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software, and security policies.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery: Develop, maintain, and test backup and disaster recovery strategies for critical systems and data.
• User Support: Provide escalated technical support, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, assist with software installations, and resolve network problems.
• Documentation: Maintain and update system documentation, including configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Patch Management: Apply software patches, updates, and upgrades regularly to keep systems secure and up to date.
• Capacity Planning: Monitor system performance and resource usage to identify and address potential bottlenecks.
• Collaboration: Work with IT team members, including network, support, and cybersecurity specialists, to ensure seamless system operations.

Ideal Profile

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure maintenance.
• Minimum technical degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as:

-Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate

-Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (AZ-800 & AZ-801)

-Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104)

• Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash) for automation tasks.
• Expertise in:

-Linux, macOS, Windows Server Clusters (ASHCI)

-Dell PowerVaults, MS SQL

-Microsoft 365 (OneDrive, SharePoint, Exchange Online)

-Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Azure

-Fortinet technology

• Strong communication skills in French and English.
