Project Summary
AIS is supporting a new Leidos account focused on architecture and infrastructure services in the Boston/Hanscom area. This is a subcontract engagement (approximately 15% workshare) with significant near-term hiring demand (~50 roles) to support federal mission delivery. Roles are primarily remote, with Massachusetts candidates preferred and availability targeted for March/April.
Key Responsibilities
Drives the stability and sustainability of the cloud-based networks, software systems for scaling and reliable operations
Performs system integration, verification and validation and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
Creates proactive engineering mechanisms that will enable the team to manage the health of a number of distributed VMs
Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies for hardware and software specifications
Utilizes trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools and processes
Responsible for systems functionality, performance, and configurations issues
Engineer and maintain scalable, reliable cloud infrastructure to meet performance and availability objectives.
Create monitoring/alerting and operational runbooks to improve system health and response time.
Required For This Opportunity
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
15+ years of relevant experience supporting enterprise cloud and/or infrastructure environments.
Certifications: IAT-2, 1 or more cloud certifications.
Able to obtain a minimum of a Secret security clearance; active Secret preferred.
Experience working in regulated environments and following secure engineering / documentation practices.
Nice to Have Skills
Active Secret clearance (or higher).
Massachusetts-based candidate or ability to support periodic on-site needs at Leidos sites in Concord or Tewksbury, MA.
Experience supporting DoD/IC programs and mission systems.
