About the role:
Every day, Agilent Service Engineers help our customers in Spain (Leon) to solve issues that enable scientists to make discoveries that improve the quality of life. Through our work, we deliver insights and provide support that keeps labs running smoothly and more efficiently.

As a Field Service Engineer for Agilent, you will work in a variety of labs, so having an appetite for continuously learning about new instruments, software, and consumables is key. Applying your communication skills, creativity, and can-do attitude is essential. Your ability to solve customer problems and your commitment to delivering the highest levels of customer service will be how you build customer success.

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for supporting our customers with on-site installation, implementation, maintenance, and repair of company and multi-vendor system solutions in a pharmaceutical environment. Our diverse product lines include hardware, software, and compliance services.
  • Install and optimize hardware, software, and network configurations at customer sites.
  • Diagnose and resolve product performance issues efficiently.
  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and calibrations to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Advise customers on preventive maintenance and optimal configurations to maximize product performance and satisfaction.
  • Proactively address potential equipment or software issues to prevent disruptions in customer operations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Support, Sales, Marketing, R&D) to deliver integrated solutions and manage technical escalations.
  • Deliver technical training, seminars, and workshops for field engineers or customers, and meet all credentialing

Qualifications

Qualifications and skill requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s Degree or equivalent. Analytical chemistry preferred.
  • Post-graduate, certification, and/or license may be required.
  • Typically, at least 2 years of experience with LC instruments, Agilent and other vendors like Waters, etc.
  • Experience in Pharma environment is valued.

On a personal level, you possess great problem solving / analytical skills, and you are eager to learn about new software technology, instruments, applications, and consumables. You have communication/ interpersonal skills to interact at various levels, and you strive to provide excellent customer support. You enjoy both working within a team and autonomously.

This full-time, permanent position is based in Leon and starts as soon as possible. You’ll work remotely, traveling short distances to customer sites within your area, with a company car provided. Agilent will offer comprehensive training and development, including hands-on experience with the latest applications and workflows at their state-of-the-art demo facility.

This job has a full time weekly schedule.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
