As a CSD Account Manager, you will be a key member of Agilent’s high-performing sales team, driving growth in our HPLC column portfolio and other chemistries and supplies products. You’ll play a pivotal role in expanding our customer base, nurturing existing relationships, and delivering solutions that help laboratories achieve superior scientific outcomes.
This role combines strategic business development with hands-on customer engagement, offering a unique opportunity to influence the future of analytical science.
Drive sales of Agilent’s Chemistries & Supplies portfolio within your assigned territory or industry segment
Identify and pursue new business opportunities while expanding relationships with existing customers
Collaborate cross-functionally with Instrument Account Managers and internal teams to deliver integrated solutions
Lead customer engagements, presentations, and product demonstrations to showcase value
Follow up on qualified leads generated through Agilent’s demand generation systems
Maintain accurate records and share insights using Agilent’s CRM platform
Contribute to strategic account planning and territory growth initiatives
Territory Details:
This is a multistate territory with primary coverage in New York and New Jersey.
The ideal candidate must reside within a 60-mile radius of Albany, NY, Syracuse, NY, or Rochester, NY.
Travel will include daily, overnight, and weekend travel, as needed, within New York and New Jersey.
The position requires transportation to support customers. Applicants must have their own means of transportation for mileage reimbursement if a company vehicle is not provided.
The ability to travel up to 35% to support clients throughout the state district is a requirement for the role.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific discipline (Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field), or equivalent experience
1–2 years of progressive experience in chromatography applications and/or technical sales
Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and delivering customer-focused solutions
Proven ability to understand customer needs and identify solutions to non-standard tasks or queries
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables) and online training platforms
Advanced computer literacy and CRM system experience
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage a broad range of challenges with varying scope and complexity
Willingness to travel up to 35% within the assigned territory
