The Role:
This role entails providing not only hands-on technical but also application support to our customers and colleagues. Work on-site at a variety of labs and support the customers with product solutions across GC/LC/GCMS/ LCMS, as well as multi-vendor systems solutions.
We will make sure you get all the training and development opportunities you need to become the best in your field, including learning about new applications and workflows in Agilent’s state-of-the-art demo facility
- Install and optimize hardware/software/network products, perform maintenance and repairs, diagnose and resolve product performance issues, address applications related issues and provide end-to-end solutions at customer sites; deliver fully coordinated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems, and applications software.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by guiding and training users on preventive maintenance and configurations, as well as how to effectively use the systems to their advantage. Demonstrate and train customers how to use and optimize high end features of Agilent' software platforms to their benefit. Additionally, share your expertise and train other Service Engineers across Agilent's product solutions!
- Work with the sales team to deliver bespoke one-to-one consulting related to the customer's specific application needs.
- In addition, develop innovative application solutions across various market segments like Environmental, Food, Energy & Chemicals and Pharmaceutical. Applying interpersonal skills, creativity and a can-do approach are fundamental for the role.
Qualifications
We are looking for a motivated individual with the following background:
• University degree in Chemistry, Food, Environment, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or similar background in life sciences.
• First hands-on laboratory experience with chromatography techniques such as GC/ HPLC/UHPLC/ MS; experience may have been acquired in an internship, academic project, a technical role, or similar.
• First experience in sales is an advantage but not a requirement.
• Good level of English (for internal communication & training).

• Customer focused and also have excellent interpersonal skills to interact with both external and internal partners.
• A strong sales attitude is key for this position, helping you in your everyday interactions with sales leads/ prospects, customers, as well as internal and external partners, building your network, and ultimately increasing/ securing your success at all levels.
