Lead Engineer Database Cloud & On-prem

Database Lead Engineer at ADEO Services, leading technological choices and ensuring implementation of these choices in line with the product vision. Responsible for database strategy, accompanying team in skill development, and ensuring quality of deliverables in an automation-oriented approach.

Requirements

• Recognized expert in databases with a strong product sense and enjoying working in a team in an agile and international environment, with animation and team leadership capabilities
• Expertise in relational databases (Postgres, MySQL), document databases (MongoDB), vector databases (OpenSearch, Postgres, MongoDB), in-memory/cache databases (Redis, Valkey), search engine databases (OpenSearch, Elastic Search), and analytics databases (Big Quer, ClickHouse)
• Strong interest in Infra As Code and considering any non-automated task as a loss of time
• Mastery of Python, Ansible, Terraform
• Strong background in infrastructure and cloud (GCP, network/connectivity) and an interest in the development world
• Knowledge of GIT (creation of custom GitHub actions, workflows), Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) solutions that enable optimal management of code, deployment, and cloud resources
• Confirmed experience in applying Agile methodologies, ensuring effective collaboration within the team and reactivity to project evolutions
• Autonomy, team spirit, and adaptability
• Proficient in English, both in writing and speaking, and able to interact with international stakeholders (BU, tech, product)
