Abound Health

Abound Health is a North Carolina statewide agency that provides a comprehensive array of supports and services to children and adults of all ages with various types of intellectual and developmental disabilities. The organization, created out of necessity over 20 years ago by founders Janet and Rusty Presson, has evolved from the original company, A Small Miracle, into a trusted name in the field. The inspiration for founding Abound stemmed from the Presson's personal experiences as they sought quality services for their young son diagnosed with Autism. Since its inception, Abound Health has remained dedicated to providing high-impact services and nurturing support for individuals and their families.

Over the years, Abound Health has adapted to changes in the healthcare landscape, including the integration of electronic health record technology and specialty care services, effectively transitioning into a largely paperless and data-driven agency. This evolution has allowed Abound to embrace national initiatives such as Electronic Visit Verification (EVV), Health Information Exchange (HIE), and Value-Based Payments.
