Job Description:

Position Description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (details of the basic job functions):

Performs a variety of support functions within the ERS Back Office, such as identifying and resolving problems relative to road service reimbursements/denials, reviewing documents to monitor instances of abuse and fraudulent activity relative to ERS service, reviewing large monetary transactions, processing contractor payments, etc. Identifies patterns of behavior by members or contractors in order to mitigate Club risk of fraudulent activity. Evaluates and determines severity of abuse in accordance with established company policies. Receives inbound calls from members and contractors via a queue; responds to inquiries and resolves problems. Notifies members and contractors of payment approval/denial status. Authorized to make exceptions to standard refund and contractor payment policies within specified guidelines. Performs final review of reimbursement requests and contractor payments completed by staff members and approves requests for payment. Responsible for final payment approval and subsequent balancing efforts each day. Notifies staff regarding procedural changes. Identifies trends/potential fraudulent activity, staff errors, etc. and following up with appropriate management to correct problems.

Develops and reviews a variety of reports and audits various forms for accuracy and completeness. Participates in special projects, pilot programs, training of employees, and other related duties as requested by management. Makes recommendations regarding procedural revisions as appropriate.

Required Qualifications (these are the minimum requirements to qualify)

Education (include minimum education and any licensing/certifications):

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

  • Utilizing an automated system to process payments

  • Communicating with customers and/or contractors via the telephone

  • Analyzing, researching and resolving problems

  • Interpreting data

  • Operating an adding machine and/or calculator

  • Performing mathematical calculations to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages

  • Maintaining accurate records

  • Utilizing a personal computer

  • Writing correspondence and memos

  • Maintaining accurate records/logs

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Business grammar and spelling

  • Department policies and procedures

  • PC software applications (Word, Excel, etc.)

  • Prioritize and handle multiple tasks

  • Audit records and computer files

  • Work independently

  • Gather data and prepare report information

  • Communicate effectively with others in a work environment and with the public

  • Rotate within department to perform various training or support functions

  • Walk and stand for majority of work day, depending on area assigned

  • Bend and stoop in order to perform filing functions

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in:

  • Auditing files to detect and correct errors

Knowledge of:

  • ACG cash handling procedures

  • Automotive Services policies and procedures

Work Environment

Works in a temperature-controlled office environment. Irregular hours, weekends, holidays and mandatory overtime on short notice may be required.
