your mission

The SIM Architect / Expert is a strategic role responsible for driving the design, architecture, and implementation of SIM, eSIM, iSIM, and Remote SIM Provisioning solutions, ensuring compliance with GSMA and industry standards. The position focuses on securing and optimizing IoT SIM lifecycle management, Over-the-Air provisioning, and interoperability with global partners and platforms.

  • Drive leadership in SIM/eSIM technologies: Ensure company leadership in IoT SIM and eSIM by aligning SIM-related architecture with customer, market, and partner requirements.

  • Define and implement solutions: Develop and implement solutions for OTA, Remote SIM Provisioning (RSP), eUICC/eSIM management, and secure key management.

  • Standards expertise: Act as a subject-matter expert on GSMA specifications, 3GPP, and ETSI standards related to SIM/eSIM and security.

  • Collaborate on service design: Work closely with platform, product, and development teams to design SIM lifecycle services, covering the full process from provisioning to retirement.

  • Vendor and partner evaluation: Lead assessments of SIM, eSIM, and RSP vendors and partners to ensure interoperability, scalability, and alignment with company needs.

  • Provide architectural governance: Offer technical guidance and ensure secure architectures for SIM OTA management, subscription management, and remote key handling.

  • Contribute to strategy and representation: Participate actively in strategy discussions and represent the company in technical forums, industry bodies, and partner workshops.

  • Internal support and expertise: Provide deep SIM/eSIM expertise to internal teams, supporting solution design and development initiatives.

  • Vendor and industry experience: Demonstrated track record of collaborating with SIM vendors, OEMs, SM-DP/SM-SR providers, and MNOs.

your skills

  • Professional experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role or field.
  • Standards expertise: Deep knowledge of GSMA, ETSI, 3GPP, and GlobalPlatform specifications.
  • SIM/eSIM lifecycle management: Strong understanding of OTA, eUICC lifecycle management, RSP platforms, and subscription management.
  • Key management knowledge: Experience with key management frameworks such as PKI, HSM, and AWS CloudHSM.
  • Industry experience: Hands-on experience working with SIM vendors, SM-DP/SM-SR providers, and MNOs.
  • Solution implementation: Proven track record of implementing SIM-related solutions and leading development teams.
  • Cloud architecture skills: Ability to design secure, scalable, and interoperable SIM/eSIM solutions on public cloud platforms.
  • Certifications: Industry certifications such as GSMA eSIM/RSP training, GlobalPlatform Technical Specialist, or PKI/HSM vendor certifications are highly valued.
  • Problem-solving and communication: Strong communication skills paired with analytical thinking, assertiveness, and the ability to balance technical depth with business and customer needs.
  • Cross-cultural collaboration: Clear and confident communicator with experience working in cross-cultural, cross-functional teams.
  • Stakeholder management: Strong stakeholder and partner management capabilities, ensuring alignment across different parties.
  • Team leadership: Team player with leadership skills to guide architectural decisions and mentor peers.
  • Language proficiency: Fluent in English; additional languages, particularly German, are an advantage.
  • Educational background: Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.
