At Dr Z Abdool Medical Practice, I provide consultations, diagnosis, and management for patients across all age groups. I manage acute and chronic conditions and perform minor procedures, including suturing and wound care.
I also stabilise medical emergencies before referral and provide antenatal, postnatal, family planning, and women’s health services. I prescribe and monitor treatment according to STGs and EML, and order and interpret laboratory tests, ECGs, and imaging.
At Amajuba Memorial Hospital, I managed inpatient and outpatient care in a level 2/3 public healthcare facility. I attended medical and trauma emergencies, participated in clinical audits and CPD activities, and assisted in theatre for caesarean sections and other minor surgical procedures.
During my internship at Pietermaritzburg Hospital Complex (Grey’s, Edendale & Northdale), I rotated through medical and surgical specialties, conducted patient clerking and ward rounds, and assisted in theatre, obstetric procedures, trauma calls, and resuscitations. I’m committed to ethical, patient-centred care aligned with Batho Pele principles.
