At the Central Bank of Iran, I review currency swap contracts, provide recommendations on contract terms, and monitor counterparty exposure and settlement risk. I also track swap maturities and coordinate transaction execution and settlement.
Previously, I served as Head of FX and Securities Division and worked as an FX Dealer in the Dealing Room. I executed foreign exchange trades based on the chief dealer’s plan and analyzed market trends and economic and geopolitical factors to inform trading decisions.
In the Central Bank’s Studies and International Organizations Department, I assessed foreign banks and destination countries for correspondent banking relationships. My analysis covered sovereign, credit, regulatory, geopolitical, and financial stability risks.
Alongside my financial-market work, I’ve taught marketing and CFA Level I subjects, and researched cinema marketing and organizational design. I hold an MPA in Economic Policy Management from Columbia University and a PhD in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing.
