At PwC South Africa, I led banking and financial services audit engagements, ensuring compliance with IFRS, the Banks Act, and Basel III regulatory frameworks. I planned and executed audits by defining scope, setting objectives, allocating resources, and managing tight timelines—while assessing liquidity risk, credit risk, and interest rate risk exposures across retail, corporate, and investment banking portfolios. I also supervised and reviewed junior team work to ensure audit quality, accuracy, and compliance.

As an Assistant Vice President (AVP) Specialist Accountant at Absa, I owned control and accuracy for prime services activities, including securities lending, margin financing, and prime brokerage services. I reconciled trading positions, daily P&L, and balance sheet accounts, monitored P&L movements, and partnered with risk teams to strengthen financial controls and improve data reliability. In Financial Decision Support for CIB, I automated executive reporting using Think-Cell, produced consolidated performance views, and delivered competitor & peer analysis to support pricing strategy and long-term planning.
