Solmaz Shiraliyeva

I’m a Computer Science student at Khazar University (Sep 2022 – present), building strong fundamentals for secure, reliable web systems. I’m especially drawn to hands-on security testing because it connects theory directly to real-world risk.

In my Brain Solutions internship (Dec 2025 – Present), I performed manual web application security testing aligned with OWASP Top 10. I identified basic vulnerabilities like XSS and input validation issues, then analyzed HTTP requests using Burp Suite.

I work comfortably in Linux-based environments during testing, using tools such as Burp Suite for intercepting/modifying requests, Wireshark for basic traffic analysis, and Nmap for network scanning and enumeration. I also apply practical networking and infrastructure basics (OSI, IP, and routing basics) to strengthen how I reason about findings.

I value clear communication: I wrote reports explaining how each issue can be reproduced and why it matters (tested private project, so details can’t be shared). I’m motivated to grow into deeper penetration testing and blue-team work while continuously improving both technical execution and reporting quality.
