Smita Thapa

I’m a senior therapist and dedicated aged homecare professional based in Nepal, with a strong focus on compassionate support and improving seniors’ quality of life. I bring hands-on experience from both therapy and day-to-day elder care, grounded in empathy and professionalism.

At Healthy homes in Kathmandu (May 2022–Present), I conduct individual therapy sessions and facilitate group therapy to promote peer support, shared healing, and community engagement. I develop care plan development using evidence-based therapeutic techniques, maintain accurate confidential client records, and monitor progress to adjust treatment approaches for better outcomes.

Before that, I supported clients with aged homecare work at Khalasi home care (Sep 2017–Aug 2021), including daily personal hygiene and grooming, incontinence care, nutritious meal preparation, and documenting health status and medication intake. I also support companionship and emotional support, assist mobility and transfer activities, and help with hydration and body-weight management through nutrition planning and basic first aid guidance.
