What I'm looking for

I am looking for a position where I can enhance my skills while also being challenged and develop new skills. I also have family commitments and the opportunity to be flexible in my approach to work, working from home, would help me meet those commitments while still being able to put a lot of energy in my work.

I am an ambitious and driven Junior Accountant with a Bachelor's degree in Financial Accounting from the University of South Africa and a National Diploma in Financial Accounting from Durban University of Technology. I am motivated to succeed in this role and make a significant contribution to the success of the finance department.

In my current role as a Junior Accountant at Messe Frankfurt South Africa, I am responsible for various financial tasks, including creditors and debtors management, journal entries, reconciliation of accounts, record-keeping, and general office administration. I take pride in my ability to meet deadlines, communicate effectively, and pay attention to detail, which has resulted in a clean audit free from errors for three consecutive years.

Responsible for creditors and preparation of payments, debtors and capturing invoices, entering journal entries into Sage Pastel accounting system, monthly and annual closing reconciliation, accurate record-keeping of staff leave, monthly cost reports and analysis, Fixed Asset Register, general office admin duties, month-end and audit file. Achieved a clean audit free from errors in all 3 years.
