What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a utilization review/case management role where I can work independently in fast-paced hospital or remote environments, perform admission and continued stay reviews, document clearly, and drive timely, medically necessary care transitions.

I’m an Experienced Registered Nurse with 15+ years of acute care, inpatient case management, and utilization review experience. I support appropriate level of care and medical necessity decisions by performing initial admission and continued stay reviews using InterQual criteria.

I’m highly skilled in clinical documentation and clinical abstraction from electronic medical records, translating data into clear utilization review findings. I manage throughput by completing concurrent reviews, coordinating discharge planning, and maintaining Medicare and insurance guidelines compliance.

In my current inpatient case management and utilization review role, I manage 18–25 inpatient cases per shift while meeting productivity and timeliness expectations. I coordinate discharge planning for SNF, IPR, LTACH, home health, infusion, and DME, and I participate in interdisciplinary rounds to address barriers to discharge.

I also bring broader bedside and outpatient strengths, including wound care and outpatient documentation for compliance and reimbursement. From my ACE & Stroke Unit charge nurse experience, I developed strong assessment, communication, and patient coordination skills in fast-paced hospital environments.
