What I'm looking for

I seek an accounting or payroll role in a collaborative, growth-oriented team where I can apply payroll and reconciliation skills, expand my accounting expertise, and assume increasing responsibility.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Technology, Jamaica, and have worked as a Junior Accountant at a chartered accounting firm and as a Payroll Officer for the Ministry of Education, Youth, Skill and Information. I reconciled bank and credit card statements, applied payments to invoices and bills, supported audits and stock/cash counts, and prepared and balanced biweekly and monthly payrolls, payroll registers, and uploads to financial institutions.

I am proficient with Microsoft Office, QuickBooks Desktop (2010, 2014), QuickBooks Online and BizPay, and I bring careful attention to detail, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and demonstrated leadership. I am motivated to contribute to a progressive, dynamic team where I can deepen my accounting and payroll expertise and take on increasing responsibility.
