At Universität Hamburg, I designed and implemented secure distributed systems for IoT and edge environments, translating threat models into data-protection and secure-processing mechanisms.
I engineered a decentralized verification protocol for IoT data aggregation that reduced wasted computation from forged or corrupted data by up to 60–95% compared with a centralized-verification baseline.
My research also evaluated homomorphic and functional encryption, along with AES, for privacy-preserving processing in distributed and cloud/edge systems. I delivered Network Security labs and mentored Bachelor's and Master's students in secure design and security analysis.
Earlier, at Cybersec Lab, COMSATS University Islamabad, I built SIEM-style detection and log-monitoring pipelines and performed vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. I also worked with honeypots, network monitoring, and ICS/OT deception environments for threat detection and security analysis.
