Sarthak Nayak

I’m an aspiring AI and Machine Learning Engineer with a strong foundation in Python, data analysis, and advanced machine learning techniques. I’m driven to develop innovative AI-driven solutions and turn data-driven insights into practical products.

Currently, I’m a Graduate Apprentice Trainee at DEBEL (Defence Research and Development Organization, Ministry of Defence), where I created an end-to-end BCI GUI for computing and visualizing Engagement Index and HRV-based stress and cognitive workload analysis. I’m also developing a Reinforcement Learning system for adaptive and intelligent BCI control strategies and conducting literature reviews across BCI metrics and applications.

Previously, as a GenAI Intern at Datwa Labs, I worked on PDF vector search using PineconeDB, built vector embedding-based query systems, and developed a Streamlit UI for real-time interaction. My projects include an agentic PubMed research workflow with LangChain and Streamlit, an MCP-based weather chatbot using Google Flan-t5 with custom GUI, and an MLflow + FastAPI LLMOps spam detection pipeline (88% accuracy). I also presented my reinforcement learning work on fracture risk reduction at ICRSC 2025 and earned recognition at the NASA-IEEE-GRSS Hackathon (2nd Place).
