At the National Audit Office of Tanzania, I work as an Assistant Auditor (Intern), preparing audit reports and financial statements to present findings and recommend corrective action.
I perform pre-audit research, organize background material, and gather and evaluate data trends in preparation for external audits.
I assist auditors with audit plans, budgets, and timelines, and help develop audit scopes and programs for assigned projects.
I also provide project updates and work with the finance department on audit reports, including results, conclusions, and recommendations. I help check that previous years’ recommendations are implemented and errors are resolved.
