What I'm looking for

I’m seeking a SIWES placement where I can apply my technical knowledge, with particular interest in construction, geotechnical engineering, and site supervision.

At the University of Jos, I’m studying civil engineering and building an academic foundation in soil mechanics, structural analysis, surveying, and construction materials. I’m currently in Level 300 and am seeking a SIWES placement.

Through laboratory work, I’ve carried out moisture content, specific gravity, sieve analysis, Atterberg limits, permeability, and consolidation tests. I’ve also recorded measurements, interpreted results, identified possible sources of error, and prepared laboratory reports.

During the University of Jos Students Work Experience Programme, I participated in civil engineering activities including water purification, carpentry, and woodworking. The multidisciplinary programme also gave me practical exposure to workshop construction and basic electrical circuits.
